The Pisoni vineyard is a great example. I gathered up all of the Pisoni Pinot Noirs I could find and opened them all with the winemakers and Gary Pisoni himself. All the wines were great and the unmistakeable soil from the Pisoni vineyard was evident throughout. Here is a list of great new Pinot Noirs from the Pisoni Vineyard! The Pisoni Vineyard is located in the Santa Lucia Highlands near Monterey, CA. Gary Pisoni has done a beautiful job with the this vineyard. Evidently as the legend goes, the cuttings that created the Pisoni Vineyard are from an unknown vineyard in Vosne Romanee, France. Many wineries have purchased grapes and made wonderful Pinot Noir from the Pisoni vineyard. All the wineries have shipped their 1997, 1998 and or 1999 Pisoni Pinot Noir to stores. Be on the lookout for these wines. If you see any of these listed below, buy them and drink them. They are simply delicious. 	Flowers Vineyards and Winery 1998 Pisoni Vineyard Pinot Noir = 4Attababys! WineChief says, dark black fruit and earthy aromas emerge from the glass. Black fruit and dark flavors surface as I taste mysterious hints of soil floating over my tongue and coating my taste buds with raspberries, black cherries, oak and hints of leather and terroir. A beautiful round mouth feel is what I look for in great pinot noir and this Pisoni from Flowers has it. The finish is extremely round and smooth and very well balanced with firm tannin and sweet acidity. This 1998 Pisoni pinot noir is a tribute to great wine growing and great wine making. Greg La Folette has done a great job of letting the vineyard come through the wine while still maintaining the Flowers house style. The drip down the label is a tell tale sign of a great wine!
