What is an Attababy! Rating's are fine, but the only thing that matters in the end is whether or not you are enjoying what you are drinking. Drink the good stuff, you'll feel better while you're drinking it and after. Here is my solution to the rating game! I've added points for those that need a point system...

1Attababy! = OK!----------------75-80 points

2Attababys! = Good!------------80-85 points

3Attababys! = Better!-----------85-90 points

4Attababys! = Best!-------------90-95 points

5Attababys! = World Class!---95-100+ points

Great wine is made in the vineyard. All of my favorite wines are unfiltered and unfined. Filtering or fining wine strips the life out of the wine. Remember, wine is a living organism.

I prefer wine when it is in it's youth. I like fruit, if there is no fruit in the beginning of a wine's evolution there won't be any at the end.

Most wines do not improve with age. In fact, only a handful of wines actually do. Remember when reviewers score wines, it is generally before release of the wine and sometimes it might even be a barrel sample! No one really knows how a wine is going to evolve, so drink 'em young! Don't collect wine, drink it!

Buy the vintage first! Last years winner can be this years dud. Even the best wineries do not produce great wine every year.

A bottle of wine, no matter how simple or great is made for one reason, to drink. Just because a wine is rare or expensive doesn't mean that it will be the best wine you've ever had. It's just rare and expensive. After drinking many world class wines, You will realize a simple truth. It's just bottle of wine, or is it? It is for this reason that I honor quality, regardless of price.

Quality vineyards = quality grapes = quality wine making = quality wine.

Wine was discoverd by accident! It was a mistake, or was it? Thousands of years ago, somebody stored some grape juice, it got too warm and voila! It turned in to wine naturally. Wine is a natural manifestation. If you leave it too long wine becomes vinager.

A word about corks! The only thing you really need to know about the cork is where to throw it away! It's tree bark! Some wineries have tried plastic, and even screw tops. The idea is to seal it, completely.

A word about bottle variation! There are no great wines, only great bottles.

Wine is alive! How many of you have opened a bottle of wine and thought it was fantastic, only to open the same bottle of wine a few months later and it doesn't  taste as good? It has changed! That's because wine is a living organism! Wines can open and close in the bottle throughout their lifetime. I like wine when it is young because it typically shows more fruit then. I typically review most wines upon release. If you drink a wine and you do not feel the same way that I do, it may be because the wine has changed. It happens to me all the time. That's why I don't get into the aging game. It is also why I strongly encourage all of you to taste as much wine as you possibly can. That's how you develop a good palette. Go to a wine tasting whenever you can, host a wine and food event, invite your friends, tell them to bring a bottle, tell me your findings. Better yet, invite me. Cheers!

As educational as a wine tasting can be, to truly understand a wine, you must finish an entire bottle with someone you love. Enjoy!

Drink lots of pure water while you are enjoying wine. Wine is a diuretic. Wine will dehydrate you, so drink lots of pure water.

All are teachers, all are students!

In the end, it's all about people sharing water, wine and food they love with other people.

This site is dedicated to the people that have shared water, wine and food they love with me!

Kindness is all that matters.

Wine is a beverage to be enjoyed over a meal with people you love!

Love one another.
