Likes wines and food., good time with friends. Likes to travel, Rugby, Jazz Music, flying airplanes. High School Diploma in 1971. High Photographer Diploma in 1974. Photographer during 10 years in his own store in Beaune, 1976 - 1985. Creator and owner of the wine-bar-restaurant, Le BISTROT BOURGUIGNON, Beaune, in 1985. A brief history: After his hih school diploma, Jean-Jacques HEGNER decided to make studies about Photography in Paris for 2 years. At the end of this vocational training with the Photographer diploma, and his military service in 1976, he opened a photographer store in Beaune, making pictures for clients and corporations. Most of his clients was people and family working in Burgundy wine world. Tasting very often wines after working in the customers wineries, Jean-Jacques Hegner became a good connaisseur about Burgundy wines. Tasting and knowing wines became a pleasure and a passion. After 10 years, in 1985, he decides to change the store for a wine bar-restaurant in the same location, in the center of Beaune, the Burgundy wines main city . The name of this wine-bar-restaurant is Le BISTROT BOURGUIGNON. He developped the concept of wine-bar, unknown in Burgundy, to be able to offer to his customers to taste wines by the glass, and of course by bottle. The first time for the customers, wine lovers or foreign importers, to have the opportunity to taste wines in another place than in the wineries. Many of these importers discovered new wines in his wine-bar, asking informations about wine-makers and wines, and later import them. Now famous in many countries, the wine-bar is visited by international customers. Passion and pleasure are still strong now and Jean-Jacques Hegner agrees to respond to invitations of international restaurants to share knowledge and passion with staff and customers. Gary Pisoni and Gary Franscioni Gary Franscioni Vineyard Pinot Noir (Garys' Vineyard) on the left and Gary Pisoni Vineyard Pinot Noir on the right. Great wine is made in the vineyard! The Garys' Vineyard is a great example. I gathered up all of the Garys' Vineyard Pinot Noirs I could find. All the wines were great and the unmistakeable soil from the Garys' Vineyard was evident throughout. Garys' Vineyard is approximately 7 miles from the Pisoni Vineyards in the Santa Lucia Highlands just south of Gonzalez, California. Many wineries are purchasing fruit from this vineyard and have produced glorius wines. Click here to see more about the Pisoni Vineyard and Tasting! Garys' Vineyard is in it's seventh leaf, planted from Pisoni vineyard rootstock and is managed and owned by Gary Franscioni and Gary Pisoni who have been friends since High School. So, there are two Garys, thus Garys' Vineyard! Thatsusitzeaation! |
